Toronto Perinatal and Child Health Survey 2003
The Toronto Perinatal and Child Health Survey project was conducted by TPH as part of the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care Perinatal and Child Health Survey Strategies Initiative. This survey provides data on the prevalence of risk and protective factors related to child health and development outcomes. This information helps to fill data gaps identified earlier by TPH.
Survey topics include:
- childhood injury due to falls
- physical activity participation
- breastfeeding
- parenting practices
- child food security
- parental depression
- smoking restrictions in the home, and
- dental and oral health
The telephone survey was initiated on March 1, 2003 and completed on April 7, 2003. One thousand (1,000) randomly selected parents with children from birth to 6 years old residing in the City of Toronto participated in this survey.
