Vaccine Fact Sheets at Toronto Public Health |
Toronto Public Health creates fact sheets for the public and health professionals summarizing the current literature related to diseases that are preventable through vaccination. As part of an informed consent process, health professionals may provide patients with vaccine specific fact sheets to read over before vaccine administration.
Each vaccine fact sheet summarizes the current literature on the disease, specifics about the vaccine, recommendations about who should receive the vaccine, safety issues and possible adverse reactions, whether the vaccine is publicly funded and who is eligible.
