In Canada, car crashes are the leading cause of death and injury in children. You can protect your child in the proper car seat, correctly installed every time you travel. Safe Kids Canada produced a series of videos on how to use and properly install car seats.

All car seats sold in Canada have expiry dates
Transport Canada recommends checking the expiry date on all car seats for children. Get more information in English and French.


Cross border shopping is not the best deal for your child's safety
Cross border shopping – making a purchase from outside of Canada– may be cheap and convenient, but Transport Canada warns consumers that it is illegal to buy a child's car seat or booster seat for use in Canada. Find out more.
