Other safer ride ideas
  • The safest spot for your child to sit is in the back seat of your vehicle.
  • Never leave your child alone in a car under any circumstances, even sleeping infants.
  • If your child gets locked inside a car - call 911.
  • Make sure there are no hard or sharp objects inside the motor vehicle that can cause injury in a collision.
  • Teach children not to play in, or around cars.
  • Check the temperature of your child's car seat surface and safety belt buckles before placing your child in the car seat.
  • Keep car keys out of reach and sight of children.
  • Send in the warranty card for your child's car seat in order to find out about product recalls.
  • Throw out any car seat that:
    • Has passed the expiry date
    • Has been in a crash (even minor)
    • Has cracks, chips, frayed harness or missing parts.
If you throw out a car seat, be sure to cut off the harness straps.
