Questions for your doctor
Talk to your pharmacist or doctor to get as much information as possible about your medication. Try and go to the same pharmacist for all of your medication needs. Always carry a medication record with a list of all the medication you are taking. Your doctor and pharmacist can help you.

Questions to ask your doctor about your prescription medication:
  1. What is the name of the medication?
  2. Why do I need to take this medication?
  3. Are there any side effects? Which ones should I speak to you about?
  4. Will this medication interact with any of the other medication I am taking?
  5. Will I need a refill? Who do I call for a refill?
Questions to ask your pharmacist:
  1. How often should I take my medication?
  2. When and how should I take my medication?
    • Before, with, after or between meals
    • In the morning or at bed time
    • Are there any foods or drinks I should avoid
  3. What should I do if I miss a dose?
  4. Where should I store the medication?
  5. Can I drive a car while taking the medication?
