Depression can happen to anyone. Signs can appear any time during pregnancy and within the first year after the birth or adoption of a baby.
Toronto Public Health has developed a number of resources to support pregnant women, new mothers and their families affected by depression and anxiety.
You are not to blame and you did not cause this, the sooner you get help the better you will feel.
