Taking Action: Information for Health Care Providers
To reduce the rates of Chlamydia, Toronto Public Health has undertaken a 5 year social marketing campaign - Taking Action on Chlamydia. The initial task involves influencing family physicians to be more proactive in testing for Chlamydia. A direct mailer campaign for physicians has been developed and focus tested. It is being distributed in 2006.

In 2007, the campaign will shift its focus to youth and Chlamydia testing. For more information about Taking Action on Chlamydia, contact Deborah Waddington - Project Lead at 416-338-6105.
