Marijuana Prevention - Tobacco 101
# #

Marijuana is also known as cannabis, pot, joint, weed, grass, dope, blunt, smoke, hash or hash oil.
Smoke something other than tobacco? Many young pot smokers think it's safe. "it's natural", "it's a herb", "it relaxes me". But you need the facts to make an informed decision.
Marijuana is not 100% safe to use. It contains a drug, THC, and use of any drug has risks associated with it. Also, marijuana smoke contains more than 400 chemicals, some of which are the same cancer causing substances found in tobacco smoke. A new study has found that smoking just one marijuana joint is the same as smoking five cigarettes in terms of the damage it does to your lungs.

You need to know that it is illegal to possess or smoke marijuana in Canada.
