 |
For more than 120 years Toronto Public Health (TPH) has been keeping people healthy by preventing the spread of disease,
promoting healthy living and advocating for conditions that improve health. TPH serves a population with constantly evolving
assets and needs - one that includes large communities of marginalized and vulnerable people and a strong tradition of community
organization and activism. Toward a Healthy City, the TPH strategic plan, sets directions to continue this important work over the next five years. |
The following report outlines the vision, mission and guiding principles for TPH and describes the six key strategic directions and specific
goals for the organization up to 2009. The report was prepared in consultation with the Board of Health with input from Toronto Public Health staff,
community leaders, stakeholders and partners.
