World TB Day
Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes March 24th as World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. Toronto Public Health plans activities throughout the year to help reduce the impact of TB in Toronto.

2010 World TB Initiatives include:
- Toronto Public Health 3rd Annual TB Update - "TB in Toronto: Personal Experiences and Clinical Perspectives" (PDF)
A free workshop for healthcare professionals and agencies will take place on March 23, 2010 at Metro Hall.
- TB Skin Test Workshops (PDF)
TB skin test workshops for nursing staff working in long term care facilities will be offered in March.
- Workshops for agencies that serve diverse communities in Toronto (PDF)
Two full-day workshops organized by Toronto Public Health (TPH) with partners from Toronto Employment, Toronto Employment and Social Services, and Toronto Public Library. Participants will learn about accessing programs for newcomers and other diverse communities including employment, housing, mental health, children services, tuberculosis, library services, and dental services. Displays of information from other Toronto city services will also be available.
