Sugar Snap Peas Did you know?
Sugar snap peas are a good source of vitamin C, iron and potassium. Ten sugar snap pea pods equals one serving of vegetables and fruit.

Buying
  • Choose sugar snap peas that have plump pods with firm, smooth and crisp skin.
  • The colouring should be an even medium to dark-green.
Storing
  • Store unwashed peas in a bag with holes in refrigerator crisper for up to three days.
  • They can be frozen and kept for up to one year.
Preparing
  • Rinse pods and trim off ends.
  • Whole sugar snap peas can be eaten raw.
  • Sugar snap peas may be steamed or stir-fried, or used in a salad, omelet, soup or stew.
