The Immigrant and Refugee Housing Committee (IRHC) helps develop strategies to deal with housing-related issues for refugees and vulnerable immigrants. The IRHC membership includes representatives from community-based organizations working with immigrants and refugees, academics, community members, and City of Toronto staff. Immigrant and Refugee Housing Committee meetings are a valuable forum for information sharing and community capacity building.
Membership is open to service providers, researchers, academics, and community members that have a professional interest and experience in housing related matters for refugees and vulnerable immigrants. The group meets every other month. For further information, please contact Azar Farahani at 416-392-0068 or afaraha@toronto.ca.
