To Haiti, with love

“Dear Haiti, I hope you still have your mom, brother, or sister.” So read one of the many heartfelt messages sent by children staying at Robertson House, a city-operated shelter for mothers and children, to victims of the recent earthquake. The cards were inspired by the desire of staff and residents to respond to the tragedy and took a month to make. Children as young as six participated in the project. “I know how it feels to have no money, don’t be sad” wrote one, while another said, “I hope you do not lose someone you love and your family too. I hope you do not have an earthquake again.” World Vision agreed to personally deliver the cards to Haitian children at one of their projects and sent this photo.
