SEE-ing
Green
From "bright ideas about lighting" to "solar hot
water retrofits", the "Spotlight on Energy Efficiencies"
Conference & Trade Show (SEE) on May 27th was packed with seminars,
workshops and useful tips to help social housing providers go green.
Mayor David Miller opened the inaugural conference, co-produced
by the City of Toronto and the Social
Housing Services Corporation (SHSC)

Left: Colin Gage, Vice Chair, SHSC Board of Directors
Speaker: GM, Phil Brown, Shelter, Support, and
Housing Administration
Over three hundred housing provider registrants, thirty vendors,
and thirty five speakers kept the St. Lawrence North Market abuzz
with activity and conversation throughout the day. In total, approximately
five hundred people passed through the forum, showing just how eager
Toronto's social housing providers are to incorporate energy efficiencies
into their every-day operations and capital renewal initiatives.
