Archaeological potential is defined within the City of Toronto's Archaeological Management Plan as land which may contain archaeological resources or sites. Extends the service life of existing metallic watermains by reducing external pipe corrosion, a primary cause of watermain deterioration. Involves attaching a metal rod to the watermain so that the rod corrodes instead of the pipe.
