The Virtual Workshop

The following is provided as background information and shows the development of the Wet Weather Flow Management Master Plan.

Wet Weather Flow Management Master PlanAbout this information.
During May/June, 2001 the Works and Emergency Services Department talked to stakeholders (environmental organizations, ratepayers, developers, industrial, commercial and institutional property owners, city agencies, boards, commissions and departments) about the various options that are available/acceptable to manage stormwater in the City.

In particular, stakeholders were asked which options they would be willing to implement on their property and which options they would support the city carrying out. Important decision-making factors have also been explored (i.e. cost, health and safety, environmental impacts).

The City's internet community are key stakeholders in this process. The following information pages present information about the stormwater management options that are available for the community to pursue. The draft decision-making criteria are also included for your consideration.

The information below has been adapted from the workbook used at the in-person sessions.
