Hogg’s Hollow – Road Reconstruction

This site was last updated May 15, 2012

Expected Start Date: Summer 2012
Expected Completion Date: Winter 2012

Starting this summer, the City will be reconstructing streets, installing storm sewers, and curb and gutter on St. Margarets Drive, Knightwoods Road, and Donwoods Drive (from Knightswood Road to the East Don River). Also included will be water service replacement for those properties that are not up to current City standards.

Further notice will be given prior to construction with a more accurate start date and other information regarding the work. Your co-operation and patience during the construction period is crucial and appreciated.

Background
This work in Hogg’s Hollow follows a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study completed in 2005. The EA studied a number of alternative approaches to managing stormwater in the neighbourhood, and involved local community members extensively. View EA study web archive.

Phase I road reconstruction started in 2011 on Ivor Road, Donino Avenue, Donino Court, Plymbridge Road and May Tree Road. View notices and public meeting materials related to Phase I construction work:

Phase I is still ongoing and the revised date of completion is now end June 2012. Phase II will start only upon completion of Phase 1.
