The Project
The City of Toronto has scheduled the rehabilitation of Islington Avenue from Bloor Street West to Prince George Drive. As part of this work, limited streetscaping elements will be added to the boulevards and sidewalk areas where appropriate.
Rehabilitation will include the removal of existing asphalt pavement, followed by repair of the concrete road base, catchbasins, curbs, sidewalks and driveways where needed. Boulevard improvements and new asphalt road pavement will complete the construction.
This project is being undertaken in accordance with the planning and design process for ‘Schedule A’ projects as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (October 2000, as amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
