The Toronto Board of Health will consider proposed amendments to the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 709 - Smoking. The proposed amendments would immediately prohibit minors (anyone under the age of 19) from entering a Designated Smoking Room and effective June 1, 2005, would delete the exemption in Toronto's Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) By-law that allows Designated Smoking Rooms in workplaces and public places.
