Municipal Licensing and Standards is proposing that the Council of the City of Toronto pass the following by-law:

(1) The Municipal Code, Chapter 545, Licensing, be amended by possibly adjusting the fares contained in Appendix C to Chapter 545, Licensing, Tariff A, Taxicab Rates and Fares by the inclusion of the Harmonized Sales Tax.

It is proposed that the by-law be adopted at the Council meeting to be held on February 22, and February 23, 2010 or at a subsequent meeting.

At its meeting to be held in Committee Room 1, 2nd floor, Toronto City Hall on February 10, 2010, commencing at 9:30 a.m., or as soon as possible thereafter, the Licensing and Standards Committee of Toronto City Council will hear in person or by his or her counsel, agent or solicitor, any person who wishes to speak to the matter.
