Notice is given that the Planning and Growth Management Committee will be considering proposed amendments to City of Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 694, Signs, General to:

  1. implement a Signage Master Plan for the premises known as 933 Dixon Road, which would allow a third party ground sign displaying electronic static copy, of a maximum height of 13.7 metres, containing a single sign face with a total sign face area of 62.5 square metres on the condition that existing third party signs are removed from the premises municipally known as 933 Dixon Road, and 115 Belfield Road, as well as the portion of the premises commonly known as the Weston Subdivision south-west of the intersection of Martin Grove Road and Bethridge Road;
  2. add additional site specific restrictions to section 694-24, to restrict the display or erection of third party signs on the premises known as 115 Belfield Road and the portion of the premises which is approximately 155 metres south of Bethridge road and approximately 9.0 metres east of Martin Grove Road.

At its special meeting to be held in Toronto City Hall, Committee Room 2, on June 11, 2012, commencing at 2 p.m., or as soon as possible thereafter, the Planning and Growth Management Committee of Toronto City Council will hear in person or by his or her counsel, agent or solicitor, any person who wishes to speak to the matter.

To obtain or view a copy of the report outlining the proposal and recommendations, you may view the Planning and Growth Management Committee agenda, as of June 4, 2012. To submit comments or make a presentation to the Planning and Growth Management Committee, please notify the City Clerk, attention: Merle MacDonald, Administrator, Planning and Growth Management Committee, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, 10th floor, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2, or call 416 392-1032 or 416-392-8485, or e-mail pgmc@toronto.ca, by no later than 12 p.m. on June 8, 2012.

Any comments received after the Committee meeting will be processed to Council.

If this matter is deferred at the Committee meeting or Council meeting or considered at a subsequent Committee or Council meeting, no additional notice will be provided other than the information on the subsequent Committee or Council agenda. Please contact the above City officials if you require notice in these cases.

People writing or making presentations at the public meeting: The City of Toronto Act, 2006, and the City of Toronto Municipal Code authorize the City of Toronto to collect any personal information in your communication or presentation to City Council or its committees.
