Wi-fi access available during meetings of City Council and its Committees
Beginning January 2012, the City Clerk's Office is providing access to public wi-fi in meetings of City Council and Committee. Working with Corporate I&T, the City Clerk's Office will provide a unique username and password that will allow anyone who is attending a meeting with a mobile device the ability to log into a secure wi-fi connection.

Wi-fi will be made available for meetings of Toronto City Council and its Committees that take place in the Council Chamber and committee rooms at Toronto City Hall as well as at the Civic Centres for Community Council meetings. A new username and password will be provided for each meeting. The username and password log-in information will be displayed in the meeting room the day of the meeting.
The City Clerk's Office posts meeting information online at www.toronto.ca/council. Access to public wi-fi in meeting rooms encourages those attending the meeting to go paperless and review the staff reports and background information online rather than requiring printed copies. Providing wi-fi is part of the City Clerk's Office ongoing commitment to reduce the use of paper and make the legislative process at the City of Toronto more accessible.
