Regulations for 2007 Provincial Election Signs
The next Province of Ontario elections will take place October 10, 2007. Candidates running for provincial office should refer to Article II of Chapter 693 (Election Signs) of the City of Toronto Municipal Code for specific provisions and additional details that regulate the posting of election signs. A General Guide to the Placement of Election Signs Upon Public/Highway and Private Properties also has been prepared for candidates to highlight certain bylaw requirements and to note the most common bylaw infractions incurred by candidates in previous elections.

New category of licence: Entertainment Establishments/Nightclubs
Toronto City Council enacted a by-law to create a new category of licence and a new Article in Chapter 545 of the Municipal Code for Entertainment Establishments/Nightclubs.

Documentation requirements and a copy of the provisions for this new category are now available.

For information regarding fees, please refer to Schedule A of Chapter 545 of the Municipal Code.


Advisory Notice for Clothing Drop Box Operators
By-Law No. 800-2006 amends the City of Toronto Municipal Code and provides for the licensing and regulation of businesses that operate clothing drop boxes.
