Litter Prevention Forum - February 25, 2004
In municipalities across
the province, litter is moving out of the gutter and into the spotlight.
We are hearing an increasingly clear message from citizens, businesses
and government that litter is incompatible with civic pride, duty and prosperity.
The quality of public space matters to everyone.
On February 25th, 2004 the City of Toronto hosted guests from Ontario
municipalities, businesses and product manufacturing to discuss litter
on our streets and who is responsible for picking it up. Presentations
at the Litter Prevention Forum featured litter research and details of
municipal litter campaigns.
The Forum resulted in a rich exchange of experiences and ideas that is
sure to change the way everyone in the province manages litter. Watch
this site for updates.
