The 2010 Report Card for the Long-Term Care Homes and Services Division', entitled "Innovation...Customer Service...Positive Results", describes a number of our key accomplishments in quality, safety, satisfaction , innovation and accountability, including:
- Where we stand relative to national healthcare quality standards;
- What our residents and clients think of the job we are doing; and
- The positive impact we continue to have in the community.
It provides a snapshot of the division - our vision, values, innovation, performance, focus on quality and safety, and our role in the community. Our division's culture is rooted in the rich history of public service, enabling us to continually improve resident and client care for some of Toronto's most vulnerable populations.
The 2010 Report Card again features a number of special people who live, work and volunteer with the City of Toronto's Long-Term Care Homes and Services Division - people who understand that long-term care is about relationships, caring, families and positive experiences. It describes the partnerships between the division and our communities and highlights current opportunities and challenges.
We believe that we make a positive impact that can be measured - not only in better health, but in better quality of life. As we remain focused on the health of the community, we continue to discover new and better ways to provide care and services for our residents, our clients and our neighbours.
