The Mayor's Task Force on Young Offenders has completed its mandate and is no longer active. The following information is provided for archival purposes.
In August, 1998, Mayor Mel Lastman established the Mayor's Task Force on Young Offenders to consult with Torontonians and seek their specific input and concrete suggestions in response to seven proposed changes to the Federal government's Young Offenders Act.
Councillor Dennis Fotinos was asked to chair the Task Force. Public meetings took place in the fall of 1998, and the final report of the task force was released in January, 1999.
