Public Meeting in Toronto to Discuss City's Response to Province's Plans for Oak Ridges Moraine - October 1, 2001
Works and Emergency Services - Toronto City Council's Oak Ridges Moraine Steering Committee is holding a public meeting on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Earl Haig Secondary School, 100 Princess Avenue, to discuss the province's plan for the Oak Ridges Moraine.
City officials want residents to attend the meeting and provide their opinion on the provincial document entitled: "Share Your Vision for the Oak Ridges Moraine."
"Since there has not been a meeting in Toronto to discuss this extremely significant issue, we want to make sure that residents of the city have an opportunity to make their opinions known," said David Miller, chair of the city's Oak Ridges Moraine Steering Committee, a committee made up of several City Councillors. "We want to hear from residents in order to form a city position for presentation to the province."
Earl Haig Secondary School is located at Kenneth Avenue, just two blocks east of the North York Centre Subway Station.
