Greening the City  Listen (mp3)
Put bags in one, tie closed. NO SINGLE BAGS

Blue Bin news

The City’s Blue Bin Program now includes plastic retail and grocery bags and foam polystyrene packaging.

Plastic retail and grocery store bags without drawstrings, metal detailing or hard plastic handles can now be tossed into your Blue Bin. Receipts must be removed and plastic bags should be put in one bag with the handles tied together. The following bags are not included in the program: dry cleaning, milk (outer and inner), produce, bread, sandwich and plastic food wrap.

Foam polystyrene packaging includes foam protective packaging, foam meat trays, foam take-out food containers, foam plates, foam egg cartons and foam coffee cups. All food residue must be removed. Packing chips (e.g. peanuts), and pure solid polystyrene, which is a hard plastic with limited flexibility used in plates, glasses, cutlery, clear clamshells, clear egg cartons, plastic models, CD and DVD cases, are not accepted in the Blue Bin Program at this time.
