The Waste Wizard will help you learn what to do with your waste materials

Online Waste Wizard has the answers

Learn what to do with your waste materials.

The City’s website has a new online search tool – the Waste Wizard – to help you learn what to do with your waste materials. Which bin does it go in? Is it household hazardous waste? What do I do with it if it doesn’t go into the bin?

Despite the increased number of recyclable items, there are still some plastics and metal items Toronto can’t currently recycle. Clear plastic food containers or plastic blister packs and propane cylinders are a definite NO.

We’re glad you’re enthusiastic about recycling but if you don’t recycle properly, it contaminates the recycling stream, damages equipment and can cause workplace injuries.
