Community clean-up day

Join us and help keep Toronto clean

The City’s annual spring cleanup events are a great way to get together with friends, neighbours and co-workers to reduce everyday litter and freshen up the city after a long winter. City crews will be working together to remove illegal graffiti and the waste left behind after the snow melts. Help us with the spring housekeeping and together we can take action to keep our communities clean and litter-free.

It only takes minutes to make a difference – participate in the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover and help clean a public place for 20 minutes on Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m. Mayor Rob Ford’s Community Clean-up Day is the next day, Saturday, April 16. Get together with family, friends and neighbours and clean a public space that is important to you – it could be a park, local street or a ravine. Once again this year, Glad is the lead sponsor for the cleanup events.

You can register for either event or get more information online or by calling 311. The City asks groups to register so that we can coordinate where collection crews can find and haul away the garbage bags. Let’s work together to keep Toronto clean.
