The City of Toronto has well over 270 outdoor fields suitable for seasonal, occasional and tournament play for sports such as, but not limited to; soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, lacrosse or rugby. In addition, the City of Toronto operates and maintains well over 250 ball diamonds. The City has various types of diamonds to serve the community from minor softball diamonds to fastball and slo-pitch facilities. Diamonds and Sports Fields are generally open from Mid-May to September.

For groups who require an extended season or prefer turf fields, we offer 11 different Turf fields for seasonal or occasional use beginning Mid- April through to November.

  • Water Bottle Ban - Attention all parks and sport field permit holders. Council has implemented a water bottle ban in specific parks while organizations are utilizing City of Toronto facilities.

Arenas & Rinks

Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation operates 121 indoor and outdoor ice pads that are available for rental for your team, league or group. Ice is allocated according to the Ice Allocation Policy.

Sports Fields & Stadiums

Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation offers baseball, soccer, cricket, bocce, football, and many other sports fields and stadiums to suit your sport at your team's skill level. Application deadlines for seasonal bookings begin in the month of November for the following year, so get your application in early! Field permits are allocated according to group categories.
