What does "cardio exercise" mean? Cardio training or aerobic exercise is any activity that employs the use of considerably large groups of muscles in a continuous and rhythmic manner throughout certain periods of time. The most common examples include running, skiing, skating, sprinting, walking, rowing, and biking. In all these activities, the maxmimum heart beat is elevated to around 65-80%; therby often increasing the level of endurance of the heart and the lungs. Many experts suggest 30 minutes of moderately intense cardio exercise at least 3 times a week in order to keep a healthy lifestyle.
