* * Fixed Fine System for Parking Tickets
At its September 2011 meeting, Toronto City Council approved a system of fixed fines for all parking offences in Toronto other than accessible parking offences. These will soon take effect, once the necessary by-laws are passed and in force. When the fixed fines take effect, Justices in court will no longer have the option of imposing a lower fine. Fact Sheet and Background Information.
