This companion document details the various requirements and associated processes for appointing public members to the boards of specific City and partnered agencies and corporations and certain special purpose bodies.
It also details requirements for specific external bodies where the City nominates or appoints public members under the provisions of the Public Appointments Policy. In some cases, Council is required by legislation to make the nomination. In other cases, Council may nominate one or more public members at the request of the external board.

Some of these requirements have been updated to reflect changes made by Council since September 2006. They are subject to further review and possible change by Council.
