Consultation, Suggestions and Feedback
The first stage of the project included consultation and discussion with city staff, the Mayor and local councillors, identifiable stakeholders and the public-at-large. Through the Public Consultations held in each of the four districts throughout the month of September, an "Issues Matrix" was prepared. Written comments received from the public attending these meetings have been collated into eight distinct issues.
Comments and suggestions include:
- "Signs should not be over-illuminated"
- "Provide more tri-vision Billboards"
- "Something like Dundas Square should never be allowed to happen anywhere else in the city"
- "Signs are boring in Toronto, they are all the same size and shape"

Summary of Stakeholder Submissions
Identified stakeholders, including companies from the outdoor advertising industry and public-space advocates have provided the Sign By-law Project Team with numerous submissions over the course of the process. Provided here is a summarized list of the submissions received to the end of April, 2009.
E-mail Comments
Since the Sign By-law Project website and dedicated e-mail address was created some time in August 2008, the Project Team has been collecting all the comments received. These comments have been formatted and arranged and are available for viewing here. The comments are updated to October 20, 2008.
It's still not too late to provide us with your suggestions and comments:
