25-in-5: Network for Poverty Reduction
25 in 5 is a multi-sectoral network made up of more than 300 provincial, municipal and Toronto-based organizations and individuals working on eliminating poverty. This network has organized around the call for a Poverty Reduction Plan with a goal to reduce poverty in Ontario by 25% in 5 years and 50% by 2018.
Since August 2007, City staff from Employment and Social Services, Social Development, Finance and Administration and Toronto Public Health have helped to coordinate the Network’s campaign for a comprehensive poverty reduction plan for Ontario.
