  • tell you how to apply for Ontario Works assistance
  • give you information about Employment and Social Services and Ontario Works
  • give you information about services and supports in your community
  • tell you about agencies that may assist with interpreter services.

Applying for Ontario Works with an interpreter
When applying for Ontario Works, if you do not speak English or French you may need an interpreter when you call. For help finding an interpreter, visit 211Toronto or call one of the multilingual access lines.

To apply, call one of the application phone lines. The Application Centre is open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on weekends and public holidays. For more information visit Applying for Ontario Works in Toronto. You may also apply on-line in English or French, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
