Hiring through job fairs
Job fairs provide opportunities for employers and job seekers to network and discuss job openings and skills.

Employment and Social Services also hosts career fairs geared towards specific industries such as trades and construction, retail and transport/logistics.

Employers that have participated in previous job fairs have left very satisfied with the results. In the words of one employer:

"Generally when we attend a career fair, if we leave with one potential candidate, it is considered a successful event. We left with 16 potential candidates and hired four. Your results speak for themselves!"

If you are interested in getting involved with a local job fair, contact the Community and Labour Market Manager at an Employment and Social Services office.
