During the 2005 edition of the WinterCity Festival, Toronto City Hall's main floor rotunda provided a
unique gallery space for the My Life, My City photography exhibition.
Presented by American
Express, this exhibit was on display from January 28 to February 10, 2005.
Due to the
tremendous success of this WinterCity photo exhibit, this web
gallery was designed to allow you to enjoy the photos beyond the
festival dates.
My Life, My City takes you behind-the-scenes to reveal a day in the life of 24 celebrated Toronto
personalities.
Some of the faces you’ll instantly recognize from the media; some have dedicated their lives to
ensuring the safety and prosperity of our city; some may even be your neighbours.
For this exhibit these Torontonians documented their day in film using a simple disposable camera.
Some simply carried their camera as they did errands, some took photos to express issues they feel
strongly about, while others captured the people and places they love.
All of the photos are as
interesting, moving and diverse as Toronto itself. Thank you to each of the 24 photographers for their
contribution.
