Toronto's 44th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank returned to Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, November 27th from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
More than 30,000 festival-goers snuggled together to witness the lighting of Toronto's official Christmas tree and Nathan Phillips Square and the high-energy performances by Shawn Desman, Sarah Slean, Divine Brown and the medley of holiday favourites all under the musical direction of Wade O. Brown.
Special guest Debbie Travis, hosted by Canadian Tire, was available for the public to take photos with Debbie beside her signature-decorated Christmas trees.
The concert culminated in a spectacular fireworks display followed by a giant skating party Celebrating 40 Years of the JUNO AWARDS.
Nathan Phillips Square, the Christmas tree and the skating rink will stay lit until December 31, 2010.
