This year's Cavalcade of Lights musical director, Justin Abedin has performed and recorded with Nelly Furtado, Snow and Divine Brown, among many others and was part of the Canadian Idol house band. Abedine released two CD's with singer/songwriter Nikki Loney "Lies and Accusations" and "Tourists in My Life".

Toronto native Suzie McNeil has grown into a versatile, powerful artist, combining a magnetic stage presence with vocal and multi-instrumental ability. Nominated for a 2008 JUNO award, McNeil's hits include "SuperGirl" which reached third on the charts and went gold in Canada. Suzie's latest CD "Dear Love" was released in spring of 2012.

Formed in 2005, this Toronto-based electronic band has graduated to a complex, sophisticated sound that has all the trademark hooks of their earlier electro-pop hits combined with a new depth of feeling. Dragonette's latest CD, "Bodyparts" released in September 2012 already has two hit songs on the charts: "Let it Go" and "Live in This City".

Nathan Phillips Square Lighting Display
The lighting display at Nathan Phillips Square is a Toronto holiday season tradition spanning more than four decades including the official Christmas Tree presented by Great Gulf and more than 100,000 energy efficient LED lights that shine from dusk to 11 pm every night throughout the holiday season.
The Nathan Phillips Square Lighting Display shines brightly in colours of red, white and silver including a canopy of spectacular glittering stars suspended from the Freedom Arches over the Square's famous outdoor rink.
