The Canadian Football League's Grey Cup game was held for the 95th time in Toronto, Ontario on November 25, 2007 between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers; the first time that these two teams have faced each other in the Grey Cup.

The hosting of the 2007 Grey Cup resulted in a considerable boost in economic activity of the host community as a result of the expenditures of the spectators in the community and the event organizers, which is the subject of this report.

FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007This summer's FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada kicked up nearly $50 million into Toronto's economy.

An economic impact assessment of the tournament released on October 24, 2007 by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance and the Canadian Soccer Association showed that in Toronto, $46.47 million of GDP was generated. Nationally the number was $114 million throughout the four host provinces.

XVI International AIDS Conference

AIDSIn August 2006, Toronto was honoured to host both the XVI International AIDS Conference and the International Dragon Boat Federation Club Crew World Championships. Both these event left significant legacies to the community with social awareness, international media exposure, community programs, economic impact and facilities.
