    Development Awards

  • Inaugural WinterCity festival receives national marketing honour

    In addition, for the second year running, Toronto Special Events walked away from the 7th Annual Canadian Event Industry Star Awards (CEIA) with two major awards.

    2003
    Winterfest 2003 (now called WinterCity) garnered three major awards for its marketing initiatives from Festival and Events Ontario: Achievement Awards for Best Print Ad, Best Newspaper Insert and, for a second time, Best Internet Site.

    2002
    In 2002, Toronto Special Events was recognized as world-class event producers and honoured with 13 trophies. Designs in Ice took the Festival and Events Ontario Achievement Awards for Most Innovative Sponsorship award.

    Cavalcade of Lights was honoured with the two international awards from the International Special Event Society for Technical Production and Entertainment Production as well as the Canadian Event Industry Awards for Most Outstanding Event for its budget category.
