City of Toronto unveils five short-listed designs
On May 7, Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone (Ward 19 Trinity-Spadina) and Councillor Pam McConnell (Ward 28 Toronto Centre-Rosedale) officially unveiled the five short-listed competing designs, identifed only by a colour for fairness and equity in judging.

Design Competition narrows down to five finalists and seven judges
On February 3, 2010, Mayor David Miller and Councillor Pam McConnell (Ward 28 Toronto Centre-Rosedale) revealed the five short-listed competitors who will vie for the title of ‘winning design’ in the St. Lawrence Market North Building Design Competition.
Design Competition is launched
As part of the official kickoff on November 12, 2009, Mayor David Miller and Councillor Pam McConnell (Ward 28 Toronto Centre-Rosedale) released the Competition Brief - a formal set of submission requirements and site and design criteria for architects vying for the winning design.
