The mandate for the Sustainability Roundtable was transferred from the Environmental Task Force and then transferred to the Roundtable on the Environment. The following material is provided for archival purposes.

The City has created a dynamic sustainability strategy to pursue quality of life issues in Toronto.

Council's approved initiatives include a Sustainability Advocate, a Sustainability Lead, a Sustainability Roundtable, and Standing Committee Sustainability Representatives.

The City is partnering on a wide range of local initiatives and promoting sustainability with other municipalities around the world. City staff have compiled a list of sustainability initiatives around the world in one document, Snapshot of Sustainability.
