Payments received are applied to the oldest outstanding balance first.

There are six different ways to pay your Toronto property taxes:

Through your bank or financial institution
You can pay your property tax bill at most banks or financial institutions through internet banking, telephone banking, at an automatic teller or in person.

If paying your tax bill through telephone or internet banking or an automatic teller, please pay before the due date to allow enough time for your financial institution to transfer the funds to the City by the due date. Retain your receipt.

To register for internet or telephone banking:

  • You will need your 21 digit assessment roll number from your tax bill
  • Sign on to your financial institution’s secure website
  • Select “City of Toronto” or “Toronto” as a payee
  • Select “taxes” or “property taxes”
  • Enter your assessment roll number
  • If you require assistance, please contact your financial institution.

By Mail

Please make cheques payable to the Treasurer, City of Toronto.

Post-dated cheques are accepted for the due dates.

Mail your payment to:
