Our approach |

|
Our team of training professionals brings taxicab industry experience, subject-specific expertise and years of successful adult education and vocational training. Below is a brief overview of our training course development approach.
Training Design
In this initial stage, the objectives of each training module are established. These, in turn, are based on an initial needs analysis. Once the objectives have been identified, learning outcomes and corresponding topics are developed.
Research
Considerable research is required to not only provide background and theory, but also to ensure that content and materials are relevant and applicable to the specific issues and challenges in the taxicab industry. This entails not only carrying out research through conventional and/or academic means but also by drawing on our substantial industry experience and contacts as well as having access to a wide range of other industry resources.
Curriculum Development
This stage involves the actual writing of the text, the creation of case studies, the development of group exercises and the formulation of both formal and informal student evaluation instruments. This is done whilst ensuring that adult education principles are always duly met. Once again, in order to ensure that materials are relevant and practical, industry specific knowledge and experience is a critical element at this stage.
Pilot
In order to ensure that the design and development of the proposed training programme meets the stated objectives, it is necessary to run pilot modules. These pilot sessions provide the basis for subsequent modifications of the courses' content and delivery methodology.
Modifications
Challenges identified in the previous stage are addressed, with further consultations with the client being carried out in the process. Modifications may include the elaboration of topics in the participant's manual, modifying or substantiating PowerPoint slides not easily understood, addressing omissions of any sort or errors in fact, et cetera.
Support Materials
Each module is accompanied by a facilitator's manual, which includes a module outline, lesson plan, suggested answers to activities, supplemental resources, and exams and corresponding answer keys. In addition, each module includes a PowerPoint slide presentation. Videos and other training aids are also included and/or suggested.
Train-the-Trainer
Train-the-trainer sessions are an essential component of training course implementation. These sessions allow eventual course instructors to become familiar with the objectives, outcomes and topics to be presented. It also allows them to receive information on their participants and the likely challenges they may confront in the classroom, as well as an opportunity to gain some general industry background. For the course administrators it provides an opportunity to evaluate instructors and address any potential challenges before they can become problems.
