Taxicabs and Limousines have always played an important role in the communities they service. Certainly, the convention and tourism industries benefit from a healthy and professional transportation industry, but increasingly, its importance to other community members is being recognized. Taxicabs provide accessible transportation to people with disabilities, safe late-night transit to the public, emergency transportation for low-income people and convenient, comfortable service to all.
Limousines provide superior service to clients on some very important occassions; graduations, weddings and other special events. It is with the objective of nurturing and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and superior level of service that the City of Toronto's Municipal Licensing and Standards Training Centre has designed and developed its taxicab and limousuine training courses.
Course offerings range from prospective driver courses to specialized courses for experienced drivers who wish to own and operate accessible taxicab services. An educated and experienced team of training professionals ensures that all courses are relevant, practical and duly adhere to the principles of adult education.
In addition, the City of Toronto licenses a number of its training products to municipalities across Canada as well as internationally. These products, however, are much more than "off-the-shelf" training packages. Each training course licensed by the City of Toronto is a customized training solution. Each module is tailored to address the client municipality's unique requirements.
All training programs are licensed in their entirety, giving the client municipality the right to use terms such as "Ambassador" and "Accessible", and to deliver the course(s) and distribute the corresponding materials to its constituent drivers and owners.

Whether your municipality is interested in a full training program or a one or two-day customised professional development workshop, our training products come with full support service, including participant's manuals, trainer's guides, audio/visual aids and other support materials (such as student evaluations and corresponding answer keys).
