The City of Toronto, through its Training Centre, licenses its programs, courses and workshops to other municipalities in Canada and around the world.
Training underlies industry strength. Effective training does much more than provide skills and knowledge, it shapes attitudes and behaviors. As such, we ensure that the training programs we design and develop are current, relevant and challenging.

We have nearly 30 years of taxicab training experience and a core team of professional instructors and curriculum designers. We provide full-service training solutions.
We offer some of the most extensive professional development courses and workshops in the taxicab industry, worldwide.
From our 17-day Effective Taxicab Driver Training Program, aimed at preparing individuals for the challenges of a career as a taxicab driver in the City of Toronto, to our award winning Refresher Training Programs, which complement experienced drivers' current skill set and prepares them to become effective and conscientious taxicab business owners, we can help you meet your industry's training needs effectively. Our approach is based on a detailed analysis of your objectives, needs and resources. We can provide:- course customization and/or design and development;
- development of training support materials;
- train-the-trainer sessions;
- training delivery; and
- logistical support.
