What we do
Technical Services provides specialized technical services such as engineering design and construction management, development review and surveying and mapping.
Service Areas
- Engineering Review and Approval
Provides engineering (roads, sewers, water mains) expertise for the planning and construction of new and enhanced infrastructure by external agencies across the City.
- Engineering Policies, Standards and Support
Promote technical and date support to the various business units across the division and cluster involved in managing and building the infrastructure. - Municipal Infrastructure Design and Construction
Provides engineering design and construction services to renew, replace, improve and expand City of Toronto Capital Works and Infrastructure (Transit, roads, sewers, water mains, facilities and structures).
- Land Surveys & Utility Mapping
Assesses and compiles City property information, to mark out City property boundaries, to provide utility mapping services and manages the related spatial data.
